They say love is all about timing. Isaac and I, surprisingly, both made the same resolution before we met each other. It was the decision to give love.
One day, Isaac was on a plane that experienced severe turbulence. In the face of death, reflecting on his life, he wondered what he would regret if he died. One thing came to mind: not having fully given his love to someone. So, at that moment, he made a commitment: to give his all to his next partner.
My experience was similar. One day, I looked back on my past relationships and discovered my own youthful and selfish nature. I reflected on this and resolved that with my next partner, I would cherish and love them as dearly as I would a puppy.
Love is timing. Our relationship began with the "decision to give love."
How do I give love?
I created self-imposed promises for specific periods, striving to show my love. From day one to 100 days, my goal was to love unconditionally, expressing it freely and without reservation. From 100 to 200 days, my goal was to support him in everything. Around this time, he started working in the crypto industry, and I decided to support and encourage all his endeavors, and I did. From 200 days until now, my goal has been to be patient. I'm not good at waiting, but I've made a commitment to be patient and have been trying to practice it. 'Love' is at the heart of all these resolutions, and I'm continuing to uphold my decision to give love.
How does Isaac give love?
Isaac's love is tangible; you can see it, touch it, and feel it. He takes care of my health, always bringing me water wherever we go, helping me with everything I do, picking me up and dropping me off, taking off his coat when I'm cold, lifting heavy things, doing the recycling, cooking delicious meals—tender and warm love. His tangible acts of love are too numerous to list. In short, I feel immense care and love from him in every aspect. It's simply a feeling of him giving his all.
Isaac has two life goals: first, to do God's work, and second, to take care of Youngju, Youngju's family, and Isaac's family.
When I die, when I think, "Did I ever receive love in my life?", I think I'll think of Isaac.
