[Notice] D-Day! The Du Sisters' Digital Nomad Life Begins!

Packed our bags all night and finally leaving for LA today!

D-Day! The Du Sisters Begin Their Digital Nomad Life!

We took a van to the airport. The van cost 80,000 won! It was such a good decision. Our luggage was so heavy, if we had taken a taxi to the airport bus stop, it would have been really tough... Once we got in the car, the reality of leaving hit me, and as I watched the passing scenery, memories of the past flashed before my eyes, bringing tears to my eyes. I worked really hard for two years, and there were many difficult times, but it felt like I was putting a period at the end of a sentence... I said goodbye to the past with tears.

Arrived at the airport! Surprisingly, the airport was empty. I was happy to smell the airport again after a long time.

Only PCR tests were available near our house, so we got tested at Incheon Airport. It cost 66,000 won, and the results came out in 30 minutes. The result was negative, of course!

Airport fashion was kept as comfortable as possible. No makeup, hair secured with a hairpin to keep my bangs out of my face, and my most comfortable workout clothes!

I wanted to do some duty-free shopping, but the duty-free shops were completely empty, and most stores were closed... There was nothing to buy. Even in the makeup stores that were open, I couldn't test any products, so I couldn't buy anything.

TikTok filmed in the empty airport! Expressing the joy of going abroad for the first time in two years! Hahaha!

I really wanted to use this GIF when I left! Hahaha! Goodbye!! Everyone, be happy!!!!

As you can see, about half of the seats were filled. It was nice to be able to sit comfortably.

The airplane window view after so long..! Goodbye, Korea..!

Asiana Airlines In-flight Meal - Bibimbap

The meal came less than an hour after we boarded. They served chicken pasta and쌈밥 (ssambap), and both were delicious! 쌈밥 (ssambap) is always delicious, but I was surprised that the chicken pasta was much better than I expected.

Because there weren't many people, I could lie down comfortably like this. I read a book on the plane. I first read <Don't Just Do It> by Song Gil-yeong, Vice President of Vibe Company. It felt like it was all about me, and I liked it. I'll write a detailed review of the book separately. I didn't have time to read because I was so busy, so I was happy to concentrate on reading a book after a long time. Actually, I love reading books the most. Even more than traveling. Haha. If someone gave me a break in life, I'd just want to read books. I want to work less and read more books during this trip. I'll live like this: 'Lying on the beach, swimming, listening to music, and reading books.' From now on!!!

I fell asleep after reading, and I slept so soundly that I didn't even know when the meal was finished. When I woke up, there was a beautiful view..!

I buried my face in the window and stared endlessly at the scenery. Suddenly, I remembered the day I went to India for studying abroad when I was 15 years old. Back then, I buried my face in the window just like now and gazed endlessly at the sky. After studying abroad in India, this is the first time I've stayed abroad for so long. It's been 15 years! Haha! I haven't decided when this trip will end. It's not so much a trip as a nomadic life as a digital nomad, so I don't know if there will be an end. Anyway, I plan to stay in the US for at least 3 months... I wonder where I'll be in 3 months. (This could also change. If someone suddenly says, "Let's go to Thailand!" I might go...). The life of being able to choose where to stay, isn't it sexy? When I quit the stable job I had in Seoul, I was a little scared. But 'freedom' took precedence over 'money,' so I was able to make this choice. (Ironically, I gave up money for freedom, but more opportunities came, and I became wealthier.) Free life, let's go!!!

Arrived at LAX. The immigration process was more stringent than expected. And when they saw that we had a lot of luggage, they asked us to undergo another baggage check.

Esther, our EXY Sisters member, and David were waiting for us at the airport! On the way to the accommodation by Uber, the Uber driver played K-POP songs when he found out we were Korean. A very considerate driver.

The pool and gym at our LA accommodation have a resort feel!

D-Day! The Du Sisters Begin Their Digital Nomad Life!

A clean and tidy room!

After arriving at the accommodation, we thought we'd rest for a bit, but being workaholics, we... started choreographing EXY Sisters' choreography. The Du Sisters created EXY Sisters as a side project, and it's become a fully-fledged project with an upcoming song release! It's coming out soon, and we made the song specifically targeting people in the crypto industry. We'll release it soon! Lima, a TikTok creator with 10 million followers, came to our accommodation with a ton of tacos! Lima is a creator who makes content with a positive influence. When we met her in person, she was even nicer, so I was touched..! We ate an enormous amount of tacos together. https://www.tiktok.com/@lima?

After eating tacos, we met up with the 12 Enter members again, went to Koreatown in LA to eat Bukchangdong Sundubu (soft tofu stew), went back to the house, showered, and rested..! That's the end of Day 1. Sharing the songs I listened to on the plane. Listening to the same songs means sharing emotions! Englishman in New York - Sting, Bamui Doenikaneun (Night Falls) - Wonstein, Heppeun Uyeon (Happy Accident) - Heize, Shape of My Heart - Sting, Dalgwa Yukpenseu (Moon and Sixpence) - Shim Gyu-sun

DAY1 Tips: Comfort is key. Don't dress up, be as comfortable as possible! No makeup + Most comfortable clothes + Neck pillow. Take content that you can only shoot at the airport. Download videos with YouTube Premium. It downloads quickly, which is good. - Use this for music too! I recommend downloading the entire playlist at once. Unexpectedly strict immigration... Prepare your answers in advance. Notes written on the plane. Saying goodbye to Duchil was the most disappointing thing. I cried from morning. It was nice to go to the airport by van. I was happy to be an adult enough to afford a van/taxi. On the way to the airport by van. Suddenly, it hit me, and the past days passed by with the scenery. I had been accepting things calmly and bravely without crying for a while, but suddenly I burst into tears. When I came to the airport after a long time, it was empty. The feeling that things are still frozen. Got a COVID-19 test and checked in my luggage. Checked in 4 pieces of luggage weighing 23kg each. 92kg! Hahaha, Jeong-ju and I laughed a lot. I was surprised that almost all the duty-free shops were closed. I couldn't even try samples, so I couldn't buy anything. Too bad. I went to a restaurant because I was hungry, but only one restaurant was open... We usually had to queue to eat... The Yukgaejang was so delicious! Jeong-ju and I took a TikTok while waiting. After a long time! I had a lot of fun taking TikToks. The airplane seat was spacious, so we used all three seats. Almost first class! Hahaha. I read a book on the plane. Song Gil-yeong's book, "Don't Just Do It." I liked that it confirmed my thoughts were right. Jeong-ju and I ordered two in-flight meals and shared them. The Korean ssambap was delicious, but the chicken pasta was also very delicious! I looked out the window, and I could see the stars. I looked through the notes I had written a long time ago. I feel once again that people live as they think.

Question 1. What is ‘travel’ to Heo Yeong-ju? New air, new smells, new scenery, new eyes, new skin. An experience that is filled and satisfied with newness. A time when the soul becomes free. A moment when I want to dance. The start of the Du Sisters' nomadic life! (Since deep communication is difficult through Instagram, let's communicate through secret comments on the blog :-)
